brave the uncomfortable

Anxiety is uncomfortable. We start to sweat, our chest tightens, and we suddenly feel the urge to run in the opposite direction. We try to find relief by either avoiding triggers or pushing the discomfort away. But, when we avoid discomfort, we avoid taking risks, trying new things, and creating positive change for ourselves. We let this discomfort dictate how we live our lives.

When you allow yourself to feel the anxiety, you’ll discover that the discomfort does not last forever. The more you challenge yourself to brave the uncomfortable moments of life, the more willing you will be to take advantage of the opportunities presented to you.

The phrases engraved on our bracelets are used in cognitive-behavioral therapy to remind us that when we stop resisting those feelings of anxiety, we can actually find some relief.

FAQ

What is an affirmation?

An affirmation is a statement or phrase that has the power to disrupt our negative thought patterns and create new, more productive ways to face stress and anxiety head on. By themselves, inspirational words or phrases can lift our spirits, but understanding the thought process behind these affirmations can literally shift our frame of mind and bring about real, tangible change.

How do I use these affirmations?

These affirmations are meant to teach you cognitive behavioral techniques to cope with anxiety. When our anxiety has been triggered, it can feel almost impossible to get through it. Once you’ve learned the facts about the human mind, and the strategies to challenge your negative thoughts, you have the power to change the way you react to them. When you keep these affirmations in mind, you can change your relationship with your thoughts for the better.

How can your bracelets help lessen my anxiety?

Imagine spending time with friends or family. A sudden rush of anxiety overcomes you. Not only are you unhappy with the thoughts that are going through your head, you’re unhappy that this is distracting you from enjoying your time with others. When the anxiety is so thick, it can be difficult to remember what we've learned. With our bracelets on your wrist, you'll have the power to redirect your mind back to the present moment, wherever you are.

How can I practice sitting with my thoughts & emotions?

Sitting with our emotions is definitely easier said than done. But there are ways we can make it a little easier on ourselves. When you feel the urge to negate your thoughts and emotions for that quick, yet unproductive, relief, take a deep breath and fully immerse yourself in something you enjoy – a puzzle, a good book, chatting with friends, etc. Before you know it, that feeling will have passed. Congratulations – you've just built up your resistance for the next time anxiety hits.

Shipping & Returns

Made in Rhode Island

We are proud to partner with a jewelry manufacturer in the U.S. to help make our dream become a reality.

The bracelets are fully manufactured in Rhode Island and then shipped off to our "headquarters" in Long Island where we package them up for you.

Shipped from Long Island

We are working towards keeping a large inventory in stock so we can ship next day to you. But, because we are just beginning our journey, keeping up with that inventory is taking a little longer than expected.

Currently, our processing times may be around 2 weeks and shipping time is usually 2-3 days. We know it's not "prime" speed, but we truly believe it's worth the wait.

Just Ask

We pride ourselves on being super transparent. If your order is taking a little longer than you expected, just reach out to us and we'll give you an accurate update on the status of your bracelet.

If you are looking to purchase a gift for someone and are hoping to get it by a certain date, please feel free to let us know so we can try our best to get it to you in time.

About us

Because of the stigma that still exists around mental illness, we are not properly taught how our mind works, how it breaks, and how it heals.

Most of us have experienced some sort of anxiety at a very early age, but because nobody talks about it, it’s not something we easily recognize until we’re all grown up and start to realize that life is really, really hard. The good news is, it’s never too late to learn how to take care of our mind, even when we feel it’s out of our control.

And with that, two sisters with OCD and anxiety (yes, it runs in the family) decided it was time to share their journey with the world.

Presently bracelets bear affirmations that use a cognitive behavioral approach to teach us how to shift our own thoughts and disrupt the unproductive thought spirals that consume so many of us. The less time we spend fueling our anxiety, the more room we have to notice the beauty of the present moment.
